The 128 Feed Shallow needs to introduction …. in fact it has gained almost cult status among the bass angling community!
Well now it has a bigger brother!
Length – 155 mm
Weight – 28 g
At a first glance it looks pretty much like a larger version of the 128 mm ….. that all sounds pretty obvious but when you take a further look at it for the size it isn’t as chunky. It looks more stretched out and for a 155 mm plug the profile is exactly what I would be looking for – a good presence in the water yet not too obtrusive to put fish off.
I can see this working well in livelier conditions than the smaller variants – seems to have a louder rattle when in swimming mode than the 128 (which was rather quiet)
It still keeps all the characteristics of a Feed Shallow but I think the head profile looks better (flared gills) and I also think they have tweaked the finish a little too …. seems a bit more flashy and holographic.
I have had a cast with it and I know the 128 mm was a bit of a ‘marmite lure’ with the casting performance – your gear either loved it or hated it! This one has no issues covering the distance …. the weight transfer system is top class and not as ‘sticky’ as the smaller models.
Anyway, not a hut amount to get your teeth into but enough to give you a first hand look at the new model.
Stocking time in the U.K. seems to be still undecided but I can confirm that www.fishonlures.co.uk will be stocking them once they become available.
