Familiar faces and a stack load of Bass . . .
Shallow running lures, soft plastics and the cracker Black Minnow were all taking fish!
There was a noticeable difference between the Bass now and earlier in the Summer – These little ones were tubs!
Half way through the session Crevan smashed into a brute of a fish – A stunning 10 lb bar of silver! It is always a privilege to see these stunning fish and watch them swim back to fight another day.
The action kept on coming thick and fast for the rest of the session with numerous Schoolies being caught.
The session ended with over twenty Bass between the four of us, I think I am correct in saying it was the first lure caught Bass we had all caught in the month of December. That in itself was an achievement and for Crevan to get a double was the icing on the cake.
Perfect little Bass just after nailing a Feed Shallow.
Sadly it all had to end at some point, as we headed for home our thoughts started to turn to next season and wonder what 2013 had in store for us.
The lure gear isn’t packed away just yet – there are still a few rogue Pollack and Wrasse out there with my name on it, so if the weather plays ball I shall try and get out over the holidays.
